NVTC TechPAC announcement follows NOVABIZPAC endorsement last week
RICHMOND, Va. — This afternoon, NVTC TechPAC, the political action committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) announced its endorsement of Attorney General Mark Herring for reelection. NVTC TechPAC represents the interests of the technology industry in Virginia.
NVTC TechPAC’s endorsement comes days after NOVABIZPAC, the political action committee for the largest chamber of commerce in Northern Virginia, endorsed Attorney General Herring. Both groups touted his strong record of accomplishments for the Virginia economy, and the endorsements highlight Attorney General Herring’s strong support from Northern Virginia’s business community.
In endorsing Attorney General Herring’s reelection, NVTC TechPac said:
“Mark Herring has distinguished himself as a strong champion for our regional and statewide technology community as a state senator and as Attorney General,” said NVTC TechPAC Chairman Jeff Novak, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Oath, a Verizon company. “We are pleased to endorse his candidacy for re-election as Attorney General based on NVTC’s legislative agenda and policy priorities. We appreciate Mark’s continuing efforts to strengthen Virginia’s legal and policy framework to support and grow our technology economy and further increase our competitiveness as a global technology center.”
In response to the endorsement, Attorney General Herring said:
“I’m proud to have the support of Northern Virginia’s business and technology communities, and want to thank NVTC TechPAC for their endorsement. Living in Loudoun County, I have had a front row seat to the growth of Northern Virginia’s technology sector, and know how important its work is to the success of the Commonwealth. I look forward to continuing our work together to make sure Virginia is the best place to live, learn, work, raise a family, and start and grow a business.”
